The Grand Canyon

I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time today.......and I thought about a few things....

I am  a small player in the scheme of things, easy to feel insignificant, yet God knows all about me, my name, my family, my calling in life....a world that wants me to believe I am just a dot in time......Yet in God's eyes I am someone worth dying for.....

The world around me works so hard at alternatively explaining what God has tried to make so clear...as Romans 1 reminds us that the creative hand of God is one way he tried to reveal himself to us......all the rocks, the vortexes, the "spiritual" places, .....attempts at creating things to worship...

..............since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made............excerpt from Romans 1:19-21

God has created some amazing things for me to enjoy, like friendship, marriage, and creation

Humanity has the same social needs, the same family structure (as God explains it) the same sin problem, the same physical needs......etc.....but regions differ so, climates, geography, cultures........part of what makes travel and discovery so much of an adventure.  For example on the tour bus today Ireland, England, New Your City, Hawaii, and St Clair Michigan were all represented...

Discovery is fun.......and unwinding is necessary.....made history again today, and found some more in several forms....like the Grand Canyon...and two great antique bookstores...
